Cosmetic tattooing is a natural beauty enhancement procedure also known as permanent cosmetics. It can replace the application of makeup, camouflage imperfections in the skin, and minimize scarring. The goal is to enhance your features as naturally as possible without a `made-up´ appearance. Clients often refer to the results as making their complexion look `fresher´ and `more youthful´. The specialized techniques used for cosmetic tattooing are often referred to as “micropigmentation”, “micropigment implantation” or “dermagraphics”. The cosmetic implantation technique deposits colored pigment into the upper reticular layer of the dermis.
Permanent cosmetics procedures are performed using various methods, including technologically advanced digital machines, traditional tattoo or coil machines, the pen or rotary machine and the non-machine or hand method. Jessica Canseco´s innovative, proprietary procedure produces the most natural and beautiful results. The process includes an initial consultation, then application of pigment, and at least one or more follow up visits for adjusting the shape and color or density of the pigment.
Technically, cosmetic tattooing procedures are considered permanent because the color is implanted into the upper reticular part of the dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off. However, there is nothing Jessica Canseco can´t adjust or perfect to your liking. All procedures have flexibility in changing color and shape. All procedures are made to look natural and Jessica Canseco is a prominent professional who wants you to look your best. Colors will appear darker immediately following the procedure but will soften and lighten during the healing process. The healing time is different for each individual and procedure.

As with any tattoo, fading can and often does occur, requiring periodic maintenance, color re-enhancement or color refreshing. Just like hair color, furniture that may be located near a window, or even house paint, pigment implanted in the skin may fade with time. It is important to consider this and all aspects of the procedure.
Everyone and anyone: men, women, the young and elderly alike who desire a soft, natural enhancement to their appearance and who want to look their best at all times. It´s for busy people who want to wake-up looking like they have just been to a make-up artist without having to spend the time or money it requires. It is especially beneficial to people who can´t wear other cosmetics due to allergies and skin sensitivities; Active people who want to look their best for activities such as swimming, hiking, biking, tennis, aerobics, and those who don’t want to worry about “sweating off” or reapplying cosmetics. Also the vision impaired who have difficulty applying their cosmetics, and others with motor impairments such as arthritis, Parkinson´s disease, multiple sclerosis, stroke survivors, and those with unsteady hands who cannot apply their own makeup.
Eyebrows – Your eyebrows frame your eyes and are the first thing people notice when they look at you. Cosmetically tattoo enhanced, your eyebrows are always full and perfectly shaped.
Eyeliner – Top and bottom, natural and light application widening the eyes giving them a renewed and lively appearance.
Full Lip Color – Natural colors look like your natural lip, but better. Your lips will appear full and luscious. You can always put lipstick over any permanent lip color to change your look.
Lip Liner and Blend – Lip Liner alone may make your lips appear smaller, a proprietary blending technique is used to enhance the entire lip.
Scar Camouflage and Beauty Marks – Camouflaging can take two different courses. Either a traditional tattoo can be applied over the discoloration or scar or the skin can be re-toned to more closely match the surrounding area.

The initial procedure will generally take approximately 1 to 2 ½ hours. Follow-up procedures usually do not require as much time.
A follow-up is a color re-enhancement. These procedures are processes to ensure you look your best, naturally. Usually there are two follow-ups to the initial procedure. Jessica Canseco´s method is to commence lightly and add during follow-up procedures. This ensures a soft and natural progression to perfection. Follow-up times will depend on your specific procedure.
The majority of clients experience very little or no pain at all. Proper sterilization and sanitary guidelines are used at Jessica Canseco Beverly Hills to ensure your treatment is completely safe.
Generally, there is very little swelling of the treated area. Eyebrows show the least after effect, however, eyeliner and lips may show more and the edema may last for a few hours. However, Jessica Canseco takes all preliminary and post-procedure steps to ensure the immediate effects of your procedure are unnoticed so you experience no downtime. During the procedure there may be some bleeding and or bruising, however, this is rare.
The possibility that you would have any problems or reactions from these procedures is almost non-existent with today´s health standards. SPCP member professionals are given continued opportunities for education in practicing precise methods of sanitation and sterilization. Post procedural instructions, if followed carefully, will completely eliminate any risk. Jessica Canseco is a certified member of the Society for Permanent Cosmetics Professionals.
